Supreme Court: Termination of Woman Nursing Officer on Grounds of Her Marriage is Unconstitutional - (20 Feb 2024)

SERVICE

Supreme Court has held that termination of a woman nursing officer from the Military Nursing Service on grounds of marriage undermines human dignity, right to non-discrimination and fair treatment. The Court further directed the Centre to pay compensation of Rs. 60,00,000/- to her.
