Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Bill, 2024 Gets Cleared by Parliament - (09 Feb 2024)

CONSTITUTION

Parliament on 08.02.2024 passed the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Bill, 2024 which amends that Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The Bill aims at decriminalizing several minor violations related to water pollution and instead provide for penalties.
