SC: Suspend Sentence Normally When Appeal Unlikely to Be Heard Before Completion of Sentence - (07 Feb 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has restated that Courts should generally suspend sentences and grant bail in cases where an appeal challenging the conviction is unlikely to be heard before the completion of the entire sentence.
