SC: Cognizance of Suppl. Charge-Sheet Can’t be Taken if it Lacks Fresh Oral or Documentary Evidence - (24 Jan 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that a Judicial Magistrate would not be allowed to take cognizance of a supplementary charge-sheet submitted after further investigation if it does not contain any fresh oral or documentary evidence.
