Madras HC: Watching Child Pornography Does Not Attract Offence Under POCSO or IT Act - (15 Jan 2024)

CRIMINAL

Mad. HC held that merely watching child pornography doesn’t attract offences under POCSO and IT Act. To constitute offence under POCSO Act, child must be used for pornography & for offences under IT Act content must be published, transmitted & created depicting children in sexually explicit acts.
