SC: Disciplinary Proceedings can be Quashed if Accused is Acquitted in Criminal Case on Same Charges - (07 Dec 2023)

SERVICE

Supreme Court has held that although acquittal by a criminal court will not confer on the employee a right to claim any benefit, including reinstatement, however, if charges in the departmental enquiry and the criminal court are identical or similar, then the matter acquires a different dimension.
