SC: Suit Seeking Damages for Illegal Use of Property Maintainable After Filing Suit for Possession - (04 Dec 2023)

Supreme Court has held that a suit for possession and suit for claiming damages for use and occupation of the property are two different causes of action and so, second suit filed for claiming damages for use and occupation of the premises is maintainable after a suit for possession.
