SC: Courts can Entertain Complaint u/s 498A Where Wife Takes Shelter After Leaving Matrimonial Home - (22 Nov 2023)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that Courts at the place where the wife takes shelter after leaving or being driven away from the matrimonial home on account of acts of cruelty committed by the husband or his relatives, would have jurisdiction to entertain a complaint under Section 498-A of IPC.
