SC Issues Direction for Stopping of Stubble Burning in Four States - (07 Nov 2023)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court has directed Governments of Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to take stern steps to stop stubble burning by farmers in the State, which has been the major cause of worsening air quality in Delhi-National Capital Region.
