SC: Court Must Consider Bail of Accused if Trial is Delayed for No Fault to Accused - (31 Oct 2023)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court while listing out factors to be considered for grant of bail, has observed that when the trial is not proceeding for reasons not attributable to the accused, the court, unless there are good reasons, may well be guided to exercise the power to grant bail.
