SC Upholds the Practice of Designating Senior Advocates - (16 Oct 2023)

CIVIL

Supreme Court has dismissed a plea challenging the Senior Designation System, and while affirming the constitutional validity of Sections 16 and 23 of the Advocates Act, 1961 observed that the mechanism of conferring senior designation on advocates was not arbitrary or artificial.
