Cal. HC: Appeal Cannot Cloak as Review - (09 Oct 2023)

Calcutta High Court while observing that review jurisdiction can’t be treated as second opportunity by parties aggrieved by a judgement or order to argue afresh, has held that courts while exercising their review jurisdiction are only empowered to look into an error apparent on the face of record.
