National Intellectual Rights Policy approved - (13 May 2016)

Intellectual Property Rights

The Union Cabinet approved the National Intellectual Property Rights Policy. The Policy’s Mission Statement states: ‘Stimulate a dynamic, vibrant and balanced intellectual property rights system in India’. Some of the broader objectives of the policy are to increase IPR awareness, modernise laws and administration intellectual property rights and more effective enforcement of rights.
