Kar. HC: No Compassionate Appointment of Sister Upon Death of Married Brother - (13 Sep 2023)

Karnataka High Court as held that under Karnataka Civil Services (Appointment on Compassionate Grounds) Rules, 1996, sister doesn’t figure in the definition of ‘family’ of deceased male, and therefore can’t be granted compassionate appointment.
