SC: Minimum 75% Eligibility Condition for Sports Quota is Discriminatory - (11 Aug 2023)

EDUCATION

Supreme Court has held that imposition of minimum 75% eligibility condition doesn’t subserve the object of introducing sports quota, but is, rather destructive of it as it subverted the object and is discriminatory; it therefore, falls afoul of the equality clause in Article 14 of the Constitution.
