SC to States: Share Data Regarding Mob Lynching Cases - (11 Jul 2023)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court while hearing Tehseen Poonawalla case (MANU/SC/0738/2018) wherein Court had issued direction to prevent mob lynching, has sought data from the States regarding mob lynching cases and actions taken to stop them, observed that vigilantism is not permissible, needs to be checked.
