Cal. HC: Police Can’t Use Power U/S 160 CrPC to Call/Arrest Someone Unconnected With Alleged Offence - (09 Jun 2023)

CRIMINAL

Calcutta High Court has observed that practice adopted by adopted by investigating agency during investigation to call someone not named in FIR or not connected in any way in committing the offence, by a notice under section 160 of CrPC cannot be encouraged.
