Cal. HC: Acquiring Property in Name of Wife is Not Benami Transaction - (09 Jun 2023)

Calcutta High Court has held that if a husband supplies the consideration money for acquiring property in the name of his wife, such fact does not necessarily imply benami transaction, and observed that source of money is an important factor but not a decisive one.
