Cal HC Imposes Cost on Authorities for Demolishing Encroachment Without Following Due Procedure - (21 Apr 2023)

CIVIL

Calcutta High Court while observing that Authorities failed to comply with mandate of West Bengal Public Land Act, 1962 amounting to violation of the legal rights of a citizen, has imposed a cost of Rs. 80K on State authorities for demolishing an alleged encroachment.
