SC Uphelds Quashing of Land Acquisition Proceedings for Vedanta University - (13 Apr 2023)

LAND ACQUISITION

Supreme Court while upholding Orissa High Court’s judgment of quashing Odisha government’s land acquisition proceedings for proposed Vedanta University, has observed that the entire acquisition proceedings were vitiated by favouritism and violative of Article 14 of Constitution.
