Mumbai Court: Woman Groped on Street Can't be Prosecuted as Participant to Crime - (12 Apr 2023)

CRIMINAL

Mumbai Sessions Court while upholding discharge of Shilpa Shetty in a 2007 obscenity case has observed that a woman being groped on the street can’t neither be termed as accused/participative to an extent of mental culpability nor can be held for illegal omission to make her liable for prosecution.
