SC: Necessary to Deprive Persons Engaged in Smuggling of Their Ill Gotten Gains - (23 Mar 2023)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court while upholding Karnataka High Court’s order affirming order of forfeiture under Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, 1976 has held that it is necessary to deprive persons engaged in smuggling and manipulations of their ill-gotten gains.
