SC: Make EIA Mandatory for Urban Development - (11 Jan 2023)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court while issuing directions to preserve the heritage of 'Corbusier' Chandigarh, has recommended Centre as well as the State to make necessary provisions for carrying out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies before permitting urban development.
