SC: NBFC & Leasing Co. Not Liable to Pay Interest Tax on Installments Under Hire Purchase Agreement - (05 Jan 2023)

Supreme Court has held that non-banking finance (NBFC) and leasing companies are not liable to pay tax on the interest component included in the hire-purchase installment paid under the hire purchase agreement.
