Gauhati HC: Can’t Award Damages for Additional Work Done Without Consent of Employer - (27 Dec 2022)

ARBITRATION

Gauhati High Court has held that arbitrator can’t invoke Section 70 of Indian Contract Act to award damages for the additional work carried out without the prior consent of the employer when the agreement did not contemplate any additional work.
