SC Directs Payment of Rs 5 Lakh Each to 9 Fishermen Out of Compensation Given to Boat Owner - (28 Nov 2022)

CIVIL

Supreme Court of India has directed payment of Rs 5 Lakhs each out of the amount of Rs 2 crores, which was to be paid to the Captain and Owner of the Boat, as compensation to nine fishermen who were affected in the infamous Enrica Lexie Italian Marines case.
