Bombay HC Imposes ?25k Fine on State for Registering FIR Against a 9 Year Old - (28 Oct 2022)

CRIMINAL

Bombay High Court while quashing criminal case registered against 9 year old boy, has imposed costs of ?25,000 on the State, stating that registration of the FIR against a minor boy despite the protection under law traumatized the boy and reflected complete non-application of mind by the Police.
