SC: Appointment of VC Illegal When Search Committee Recommended Only One Name - (27 Oct 2022)

Supreme Court has held that the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor of a University will be illegal when the Search Committee recommended only one name instead of a panel of 3-5 names as mandated by the University Grants Commission Regulations 2013.
