SC: FOUR MONTHS TIME LIMIT U/S 19 PC ACT TO DECIDE A 'SANCTION REQUEST' IS MANDATORY - (12 Oct 2022)

Supreme Court held that period of three months under Section 19 of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act for Appointing Authority to decide upon request for sanction is mandatory; however, non-compliance with this requirement shall not quash criminal proceeding.
