SC: Larger Bench Judgment Will Prevail Regardless of Number of Judges in Majority - (19 Sep 2022)

CONSTITUTION

Supreme Court Constitution Bench has held that a judgment delivered by a larger bench will prevail irrespective of the number of judges constituting the majority. The Court illustrated that a 7 judge bench delivering 4:3 majority will prevail over unanimous 5 Judge Bench judgment.
