Madras HC Upholds Government's Decision to Tax Inflows at 30% TDS from Cyprus - (13 Apr 2016)

Madras HC has issued order dismissing petitions challenging constitutionality of Section 94-A (1), of Income Tax Act and against notifying Cyprus as a jurisdictional area. The Court ruling comes as a major set back for FIIs and upholds Govt's decision to tax inflows at 30% TDS from Cyprus.
