SC: Crop Insurance Different from Commercial Policy - (07 Sep 2022)

Supreme Court while upholding Bombay High Court's order directing Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to compensate under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers for post harvesting losses, has held that crop insurance should not be treated as ordinary commercial policy.
