SC Dismisses Plea Challenging Provisions Criminalising Personal Consumption of Drugs - (30 Aug 2022)

NARCOTICS

Supreme Court while dismissing plea seeking to declare certain provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act as invalid, has held that Act has provisions for rehabilitation and Court also has power to release convict for offence of personal consumption having regard to age, gender etc.
