J&K&L HC: Detaining Authority Must Show Compelling Reasons for Preventive Detention - (23 Aug 2022)

CRIMINAL

Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has held that preventive detention orders can be passed even when a person is in police custody. However the court mentioned that the authority must record compelling reasons for doing so.
