SC to Centre: Take Stand on Promise of Freebies by Political Parties During Election Campaigns - (27 Jul 2022)

ELECTION

Supreme Court has asked Central Government to take a stand on the need to control the announcement of freebies by political parties during election campaigns. The Court while stating it as a serious issue asked the Centre why it is hesitating to take a stand on this issue.
