Cabinet Relaxes Fiscal Rules for Some States - (07 Apr 2016)

Union Cabinet, while formally signing off on the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission (FFC), has allowed conforming states to relax the existing cap on fiscal deficit of 3% of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) by half a percentage point.
