Cal. HC: Only Licensing Authority Can Suspend Driving License, Not Police Officer - (22 Jul 2022)

MOTOR VEHICLES

Calcutta High Court has held that a police officer has no right to disqualify a person or revoke a driving license under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and only the licensing authority is empowered to issue and suspend a driving license.
