Guj. HC: Surrogacy Act Doesn’t Provide for Retention of Child’s Custody for Breastfeeding - (28 Jun 2022)

LAW OF MEDICINE

Gujarat High Court has held that the Surrogacy Regulation Act, 2021 does not envisage any provision that would require the custody of a new-born child to be retained by the surrogate mother for a particular period of time, for the purpose of breastfeeding.
