Federal Court: Non-Lawyers Providing Legal Advice in Debt Cases are Protected by First Amendment - (27 May 2022)

Federal Court in New York has ruled that non-lawyers will be allowed to provide legal advice to low-income New Yorkers who face debt collection actions. The Court concluded that such legal advice shall be protected by First Amendment.
