SC: Discrepancies Between FIR and Subsequent Statement Not Grounds for Discharge - (07 Feb 2022)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court observed that discrepancies between the FIR and any subsequent statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 cannot be a ground for discharge without initiation of trial.
