#Union Budget 2022-2023: Telecommunication Development in Rural Areas - (01 Feb 2022)

MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION

Finance Minister has stated that 5% annual collection of service obligation fund will be allocated for rural telecom and broadband development. Contracts for laying optical fibres will be awarded under Bharatnet through PPP. The scheme will be completed in 2025.
