Balbir Singh Chauhan appointed Chairman of Law Commission - (14 Mar 2016)

Former judge of the Supreme Court, Balbir Singh Chauhan, has been appointed as Chairman of the 21st Law Commission, a position he will hold in addition to being head of the Cauvery River Water Disputes Tribunal. Justice Ravi R. Tripathi will also join the Law Commission as a member, having retired from the Gujarat High Court in May of 2015.
