Lok Sabha Passes Election Laws Amendment Bill to Link Voter ID with Aadhaar - (21 Dec 2021)

Lok Sabha has passed the Election Laws(Amendment) Bill 2021 to link voter identity cards with Aadhaar. The Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021 seeks to allow electoral registration officers to seek Aadhaar number of people who want to register as voters for the purpose of establishing the identity.
