SC: Hostile Witness's Credible Evidence Can Form Basis for Conviction in Criminal Trial - (29 Nov 2021)

LAW OF EVIDENCE

Supreme Court has observed that credible evidence even of a hostile witnesses can form the basis for conviction in a criminal trial. The Court has said that even if the witnesses have turned hostile, their evidence can be accepted, if they are natural and independent witnesses and have no reason to falsely implicate the accused.
