SC: Karta of Joint Hindu Family Cannot File Consumer Compliant Regarding Treatment of Sister-in-Law - (20 Sep 2021)

Supreme Court has observed that a Karta of a Joint Hindu Family cannot file a consumer complaint in respect of deficiency in service on part of the Hospital/Doctor regarding the treatment given to his pregnant sister-in-law. The Court has observed that the concept of Joint Hindu Family does not extend to the treatment of a pregnant sister-in-law.
