Govt. Decides to Cut Returns on Small Savings Schemes - (17 Feb 2016)

Government has said that interest rates of small saving schemes would be recalibrated on a quarterly basis instead of annual basis from April 1, 2016, to align them with the market rates of the related Government Securities (G-secs). Also announced that it would cut the rates by 25 basis points.
