Supreme Court Dismisses Doctor's Plea for Testing of Efficacy of Ayurvedic COVID Medicine - (29 Jun 2021)

Supreme Court has dismissed a plea seeking a direction to the government to test the efficacy of a new Ayurvedic remedy for COVID, observing that the efforts of the government are concentrated on dealing with the pandemic – the issue of hospitalisation, the availability of essential drugs, vaccination and cannot be diverted to testing the claim of efficacy of new medicines.
