Rajasthan HC Dismisses Writ Challenging Suspension of Mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation - (29 Jun 2021)

Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed by Somya Gurjar challenging her suspension as the Mayor of Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation on charges of manhandling the local body’s Commissioner. The Court has held that the Mayor was not required to be heard before passing of suspension order.
