Orissa HC: Lawyers Exempted from Paying GST/Service Tax, Demand Notices Not to be Issued - (09 Apr 2021)

GOODS AND SERVICES TAX

Orissa High Court has directed the Commissioner, Goods and Services Tax to issue clear instructions to all the officers in the GST Commission rates in the state not to issue any notice demanding payment of service tax/GST to practising lawyers as they are exempted from paying GST/Service Tax.
