SC: No Justification for Charge of Compound Interest During Loan Moratorium Period - (24 Mar 2021)

Supreme Court has observed that there is no justification for charging compound interest or penal interest during the period of loan moratorium which was allowed by the Reserve Bank of India from 1st March to 31st August, 2020 on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.
